"Thank you so much for the work you have done with Ralph and working through his strange phobia of his outdoor coat (which he really needs being a greyhound and living in Scotland!). As you know, any time I brought his coat out he would put his tail between his legs and panic. He got himself in such a state, he fell over a few times with fear. After your sessions with him, he will now wear his coat and happily go for a walk, which is a great relief after him refusing to wear it for over a year. I really wish I knew what caused the fear in the first place but I am just so happy it has been solved.
ps Ralph is now also going into his crate again."

"Thank you for all the help and work you did with Lilly.
During the thunder period she was absolutely terrified and I couldn't get her out of her crate even after the thunder had stopped. You showed me how to settle her and get her from her crate without causing any stress at all. We have had thunder since and the difference in her is unbelievable. You also showed me the correct way to get her to settle when she is demanding food or wants to follow me when i'm leaving. All of which have made her such a different dog. Thank you."

"Hi, we just wanted to thank you for your time and effort today.
That was so helpful. Rocky has been so good and although it took about 10 minutes he has just waited beautifully in the hall while I prepared his food.
Also I can now go into my bedroom, bathroom etc without a constant companion! Fantastic. We bought a clicker today and I will work on things during the week. I daresay there may still be difficult moments but I feel so much better( and so does Rocky , I m sure).
Thanks

We took Bear to Victoria Park today and with the sunny weather it was full of small children and lots of dogs all off the lead. He was perfect leaving the flat, we did everything you had shown us. We got to the park gates and he lost his attention. I took a long time to get it back with all the children and dogs running round us, but never the less we did get it back. He was slightly more highly strung today with us than yesterday with you but I think that was more down to our inexperience. He did eventually walk past toddlers without noticing them at all and when he was staring out bigger dogs he actually sat down and just whined a little which was so much better than trying to attack them!
We know we have a lot of work to do with Bear and ourselves but we hope in the next couple of weeks to have made a huge difference in all of us.
We can't thank you enough for helping us help Bear enjoy going to the park!
Thanks again and speak soon"
Kind Regards

"Just to let you know..... big breakthrough today! I've stuck to the programme and will never stop using the clicker again.... Benny jumped right in to the van today with no hesitation. Still not interested in treats in the van and tho restless at first he is far more settled again and when we travel he is lying down and snoozing like he used to and not standing panting and feart. Am keeping positive thoughts around him. He's had a grand day altogether today, am awfy happy for him.
Can't thank ye enough, you've made life happier for ma boy.

"My partner and I have an 8 month old German Shepherd, Niko, which we purchased from the SSPCA. His family background is unknown. At around ten weeks old we attended Happy Tails puppy training classes and Niko learned all the basic training skills and also gained important social skills. Happy tails use great, reward based training methods which Niko and the other pups responded greatly to.
Niko is now 8 months old and recently began to show signs of dominant behaviour. Unsure of how to deal with this we contacted Happy Tails who quickly assessed and outlined the issues regarding this. Following their advice and within a matter of days, Niko's behaviour changed dramatically and now 2 weeks on, he is a much happier, more obedient dog. He has stopped mouthing and fighting to gain our attention and is a lot more relaxed in the family home.
I would highly recommend Happy Tails for all types of puppy and dog training. The positive reinforcement methods have been highly successful in our experience. We look forward to agility training in January 2012."

"I would like to thank you for all your help with Marley - he is a different dog. I took him out for his morning walk and went a different direction. He was not sure and it took us a while but we got there. I took him and Ruby out again at lunch time and we passed the school kids as it was lunch time. He backed off a bit but I took it at his pace. He came out of his comfort zone for a few minutes then back to " unsure ". I then took Ruby and Marley out when I came home from work and he was much better ... I could not have done it without you! We're looking forward to the puppy classes ..
thanks once again ."

Note - Marley is a five month old Yorkshire Terrier that was refusing to walk outside on his lead and found the outside world very frightening. Thankfully, after my session, Marley is now venturing out a couple of times a day and walking on his lead while gaining more and more confidence with each walk. With Maureen's caring and determined attitude I'm sure Marley will be walking with confidence in no time.
She seems much more content and able to spend settled time with us all for short periods throughout the day. Much calmer and a little less biting, I will continue to practice what you have already taught me and will keep in contact as I imagine I would like follow up training with you
Many thanks"

Note - Iona is a puppy and her owner found her to be full of anxiety. Now that Iona is learning to be calm at a young age, this will help Iona grow into a relaxed and calm adult dog.
